It's all about the process. It's about peering over the measuring cup to see if you hit the meniscus, attempting to crack each egg with only one hand, watching a batter volcano form while pouring the oil, and of course liching the bowl. Be it spoon, spatula, or finger, everyone has their own technique but one common goal-- enjoy every last drop of batter.
But that's life for ya. The batter is just so much more exciting than the actual brownies, cupcakes, cookies, or cornbread. (Actually, I am probably one of the only cornbread batter lovers, but the point is still valid, right?!)
So whether you are baking from the box, experimenting, or precisely following a recipe, for heaven's sake, lich the bowl!
